British-Grown Trees
Buying and planting British grown trees is one of the most significant ways to support biosecurity. Hillier trees can be in our fields for up to 25 years and have originated from our own buds, grafts or seedlings.
British-Grown Semi-Mature Trees
Hillier is the largest grower of Semi–Mature trees in the UK.
Top quality trees are available in sizes up to 100cm girth and can be supplied all year round, either from the field as rootballs or containerised.
Trees can be inspected and selected at our nurseries in Hampshire. In these times of heightened environmental awareness, the issue of biosecurity and ‘tree miles’ has never been greater and more people than ever want to source their trees from the UK.

Field Grown Trees
At Andlers Ash in Liss, near Petersfield, is our field tree production nursery.
This tree nursery covers over 700 acres and 250,000 British-grown trees with around 150 different species growing. 
Container Grown Trees
At our Broadmead nursery, near Ampfield in Hampshire is our container tree nursery
This covers over 50 acres and 50,000 British-grown container trees available to supply to our customers annually.
Hillier Trees: A History
We are a family business with more than 150 years of horticultural passion and expertise.
Hillier Nurseries has experienced a remarkable journey from a single florist shop with two acres of land in Winchester in 1864 to the horticultural powerhouse it is today. Our record breaking 74 gold medals at RHS Chelsea Flower Show and many books, including the Hillier Manual of Trees and Shrubs, are testament to this.
We invest this knowledge and skill into the care for the trees on our field and container nurseries. Hillier remains a family run nursery with the fifth generation now leading the business into the future.
