Part of our exclusive Streetwise range, Tilia platyphyllos ‘Streetwise’ captivates throughout the year. Its vibrant twigs outshine even theTilia platyphyllos ‘Rubra’, especially dazzling under the winter sun.
The tree boasts dark, lustrous leaves that transition to a distinctive purple-brown colour come autumn, a unique trait within the Tilia playphyllos variety. Fragrant blooms emerge from late June to early July, drawing in bees and carious pollinators. The species is a large and fast-growing. It makes an ideal parkland tree with roundish, ovate, and sharply toothed leaves. Narrower than Tilia platyphyllos, it lends itself to being an avenue tree or a stately specimen tree.
Known for their resilience, our Streetwise collection showcases the hardiest varients of their species making Tilia platyphyllos ‘Streetwise’ exceptionally suited for challenging urban environments.
